As part of UF's campus-wide licensing agreement, the Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus for Education program allows multiple full downloads to personal devices of Office 2013 Professional Plus, Office 2016 for Mac, and Office for iPad at no charge. Software Licensing Services (SLS) provides software licensing, distribution and management services for departments at the University of Florida. It also maintains an on-line directory of software licenses managed at the University of Florida. Computers and Software in the George A. Smathers Libraries

All of the PCs and Macs in the Smathers Libraries are managed by UF Academic Technology (AT), providing students and faculty access to the very extensive list of software also available at all of the AT Computing Labs on campus: https://labs.at.ufl.edu/about-at-labs/computer-software.

Library West: there are 200 computers throughout the building, 18 of those computers with dual monitors, located on the east side of the 3rd floor InfoCommons, and six iMacs are located on the southeast corner of the 2nd floor. More information available: Computers & Software in Library West page.

Marston Science Library: there are 120 computers located throughout the building. On the 1st floor, 81 PCs are available. On the 2nd floor, 25 PCs with dual monitors and 6 iMacs are available. On the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floor, 6 PCs, 4 PCs, and 4 PCs are available, respectively.

Internet / Database Access

Access to the Internet and online library services, including the library catalog and databases, is available in all the libraries and branches.

Database and eResources Access Off Campus

e-Learning and Streaming Video

e-Learning and the university's video classes can be viewed on workstations throughout the libraries. Users must provide their own headphones. To aid in viewing or listening to other media, the workstations provide the following viewing and listening utilities and plug-ins.
